Creative Kids is my in-person offering in East Cork, focusing on creativity, mindfulness, fun, confidence boosting, self-compassion nurturing, idea building and self discovery!

Creative Kids Midleton

What to expect:

My aim for these sessions is, not only to create gorgeous crafts, but also to encourage confidence and emotional well-being through independent thought as well as group work. So, sometimes the objective of a class may not be the finished piece itself, but the ideas, story telling and experimenting that it took to get there!

I cover a vast range of arts and crafts in these sessions such as wall hangings, collage, clay work, printing, painting - all sorts :) I am a creative therapist, and I believe that the process is more important than the product. I am a very process driven guide - it is the journey and the expression of a piece that I am absolutely passionate about!

I am also an accredited children's mindfulness practitioner and I am delighted to bring these practices to my classes. Mindfulness encourages focus, presence in the moment, self compassion, emotional wellness and a sense of calm - it's not just about meditation alone! These creative and mindful exercises work beautifully together to help nurture happy, healthy hearts and heads - a winning combination!!

When and where:

I facilitate Creative Kids at Sandy Walk (MFRC), Broomfield Village, Midleton on Tuesdays during school terms 4-5pm and 5-6pm and Thursdays 5.30pm-6.30pm.

A little about me:

Hello I'm Emer O'Neill and I am a sea-inspired artist, jewellery designer and creative guide living in Midleton with my husband and two daughters, Poppy (12) and Ivy (9). I have a BA in Fine Art, I am a Holistic Creative Arts Therapist and also hold a creative mindfulness qualification, as well as a number of energy healing qualifications. I run a small online business called Tidal Soul Studio, with the aim to connect you to the fierce power of the sea through my evocative seascapes and seaglass jewellery. You can find my work at www.tidalsoulstudio.com and at a selection of beautiful Irish craft shops in Ballycastle, Midleton, Bere Island & Clonakilty. I believe EVERYONE has a creative streak whether they have discovered it yet or not! I am passionate about guiding people to explore this side of themselves authentically, honestly and tenderly. I also guide groups for grown ups! Please check out my 'WORKSHOP' section of the website for in-person groups, or 'COURSES' section to bring you to my online learning portal.

Le grá agus draíocht,

Emer x
