Creative Kids is a new offering in East Cork, focusing on creativity, fun, idea building and self discovery!
What to expect:
My aim for these sessions is, not only to create gorgeous crafts, but also to encourage confidence through independent thought as well as group work. So, sometimes the objective of a class may not be the finished piece itself, but the ideas, story telling and experimenting that it took to get there! I plan on covering a vast range of arts and crafts in these sessions such as wall hangings, clay work, printing, painting - all sorts :) I believe that the process is often more important than the product and I am a very process driven guide - it is the journey and the expression of a piece that I am absolutely passionate about!
When and where:
Creative Kids classes will run during school term times at Churchtown South Community Hall, returning in September. 3.30 - 4.30pm Tuesdays and Thursdays. Please send me a text on 085 8350344 to book your child's spot in either the Tuesday or Thursday group. Suitable for children aged 5-10.
A little about me:
Hello I'm Emer O'Neill and I am a sea-inspired artist and jewellery designer living near Cloyne with my husband and two daughters, Poppy (8) and Ivy (5). I have a degree in Fine Art and I have been painting and creating for years. I run a small online business called Tidal Soul Studio, with the aim to connect you to the fierce power of the sea through my evocative seascapes and seaglass jewellery. You can find my work at www.tidalsoulstudio.com and at a number of beautiful Irish craft shops in Dunmore East, Youghal, Midleton, Kinsale & Clonakilty. I believe EVERYONE has a creative streak whether they have discovered it yet or not! I am passionate about guiding people to explore this side of themselves authentically, honestly and tenderly.
